Choosing the right location for a pet store is crucial, especially in a competitive market. In addition to competing with peers, online competition also involves competing with your own suppliers.
Today, I’ve compiled a list of business areas with less competition, as per the request of our pet store customer who prefers areas with fewer competitors, particularly in high-density residential zones.
If these options do not match your enquiries, don’t worry. Share your requirements with us, and we’ll filter more locations for your pet store.

1. KLTS

This is a super prosperous place in Jalan Gombak, Setapak. It is mainly dominated by the Malay consumer group. The people coming here to consume are not only residents upstairs but also many other residents nearby. Many big brands have also opened here, Mr DIY, Super 7, Ibu Manja and so on. These businesses with family crowds are loving here.
And ~~~ There is no pet shop here for the time being.

2. Maxim/Sentul Village/Sentul Point…

Many people still think of Sentul = Indian area. Well you’re wrong!
This Sentul “New Area” has more Malays and Chinese gathered here. There are more than 8 Condos in 500 Meters, which is an ultra-high-density residential area. Big brands also like to squeeze this way. McD, Starbucks, Coffee Bean, etc. are all here.
However, there is only one pet store here, and I heard that the review is not very good. So, here’s your chance!

3. M Vertica

This is the famous “Hong Kong Building” in Cheras District! There are 3,600 units in this whole project. This community is close to Aeon and Sunway Velocity, and also surrounded by various office buildings, so the crowd is not only residents here, but also Office Crowds nearby. Although the business area here is still new, because of this location and the incredibly high population density, it shouldn’t take long for it to become prosperous. Now it’s a matter of who’s willing to be the first to take the plunge.

4. Taman Koperasi

A commercial street surrounded by row houses in Batu Cave. There are Mr DIY, Laundry, food, car factory, and Bakery.
But there is no pet store. Therefore, if you want to open in a Malay residential area without much competitive pressure, this will also be a good choice.

5. Ampang Hilir
Google Maps Link: https://goo.gl/maps/kLQjxfBYhkpod5AU7
The commercial district surrounded by residential areas and Pandan Indah are neighbors! It used to be a famous Korean village, but now more Middle Easterners and Malays will gather here. When we hung up Banner in this community before, 8 out of 10 were Malays who called to ask about the shop!
There is no pet store here for the time being. If you also want to target the Chinese market, as there are quite a few Chinese residents in this area and it is better to work on advertising to attract the crowd!
